I am looking for a reliable, long-term pet sitter for my rescue dog, Frikkie. He is an afrikaaner of about 2-3 years old that comes from a shelter, so he has anxiety (general and separation) due to previously abusive conditions. My dog sitter must be knowledgeable about and comfortable with dogs with nervous dispositions and be willing to take the time to build a trusting relationship with Frikkie. Once he trusts you, he is a loveable snuggle bug, but it will take time and someone with patience and understanding of dog behavior. My work schedule can change quickly (24-48hrs notice), and from Nov 15-Dec 15 will often have me in town (Mossel Bay) for most of the day. I am looking for someone who will be able to come in to spend time with Frikkie, walk him, give him a bathroom break, and possibly feed him (depending on morning start time). I am looking for someone to start ASAP, who can come to my home while I am here to build a relationship with Frikkie, so Frikkie can get used to you and get used to you in his space. I am very much looking for someone reliable, consistent, patient, and willing to commit to at least 4 months of consistent work with me and Frikkie.
