I would like someone reliable, calm, safe, and very experienced with rescue dogs with a history of abuse and separation anxiety. Ideally I would like to have at least two folks who can commit to building a relationship with my dog and becoing regular care givers, as he takes a while to get used to people/strangers. My work can often take me into the field for the entire day, so I am looking for someone who is able to provide care for my dog at my home during those long days. The care includes walks, play, companionship (to ease his separation anxiety), bathroom breaks and sometimes feeding breakfast (depending on how early I need to leave). You will need to earn my dog's trust, so to start it would be great to have folks who can come over to meet him while I am there so that he can get used to you and used to you in his space. I would like someone to start ASAP, as familiarization can take a while, but I am anticipating quite a bit of need from Nov 14-Dec 16 and Jan 8-Feb 12. I would like this person to also be open to potentially house/overnight sitting at my home and with my dog, as there might be weekends, sometimes week days, where I will need to travel for work and cannot bring my pup.
