Bradgary Marine Shopfitters

Bradgary Marine Shopfitters

MARINE SHOPFITTERS was formed in March 1989 by Andy Heycocks. Gavin Stiemens who is a qualified Architect joined Bradgary Marine Shopfitters (in 1999) and in 2004 became a director.

The foundation members of Marine Shopfitters have been involved in previous new shipbuilding, ship repair and Shopfitting work for other companies before branching out to form their own company.

In 1993 we acquired a company called Bradgary Joinery (PTY) Ltd and changed our company name to Bradgary Marine Shopfitters (PTY) Ltd. With this accusation we where able to join the skills of both companies and move into a modern and well equipped factory.

STAFF
BRADGARY MARINE SHOPFITTERS now employ in excess of 70 people most of whom have been with the company for many years since it started.

DRAWING OFFICE
Our drawing office is fully automated and we produce 80% of our drawings on CAD however our designers still prefer to do some setting out / designs by hand.

FACTORY
The factory is situated in Umbilo , Durban. it is within easy reach of the Harbour and access to the freeways.
The factory is in two halves with a courtyard access between the two buildings, one houses the machine shop and the bench assemble area. The other has the Polish shop with the preparation area and spray booth at one end and the final assembly area and quality control area at the other end.
