I have a 4,5 month old Pit crossed Labrador male. He is very energetic, loves people and loves other animals. This causes extreme excitement when people visit, constant jumping on them, scratching people, biting and pulling on their feet with toys in his mouth to play. With other dogs, he is so excited he runs after them nonstop - cause the other dogs to run away from him. When playing, he bites hands and snaps at your face. He bites and pulls on your clothing from time to time. He doesn't listen to any commands when excited by people or other animals. Outside of that space, he will sit when told, he will stay for short moments and he is learning down - he will do these when focused with no distractions but won't respond to any of these when excited. He is good with food, he won't eat unless we tell him to or place the food by his mouth. The vet visits are a challenge, he screams and barks and wants to run to everyone and to all the pets, he doesn't respond to any instructions. He doesn't like to wear a harness and pulls on his leash. He has started barking at my husband when he is eating food wanting my husband to give him food. He is using the toilet outside, and when we are not home he pees on his pee pad. I would like to have him a lot calmer around people, gentle when playing and responsive to instructions in all situations.
