I have a 2 big dogs, a Belgium and a German shepherd. They are phenomenal animals with us - the cutest fluff balls (when it's just us), they listen and obey our orders; BUT the moment anyone else dares enter our property or be in close proximity, then my dogs lose their minds and stop listening to orders. They are extremely protective, however we need to socialise them as they don't stand for any other animals, kids or humans (unless the humans are accepted by us). We can't even take them to parks because of this. What they do at this point (we have unique instruction words for the below):
- Search
- Fetch
- Attack
- Protect (the male dog "shield" me)
- Come here
- Sit
- Walk between the legs
- Stand down (they rebel against this one)
- Whisper (be quiet and listen)
What we need them to obey without fail:
- Warn
- Scare
- Attack
- Whisper (be quiet and listen)
- Tracking
- Tip toe
- Stand down
- Be friendly (allow for petting)
- No leash pulling
So basically, we need our K9's to be full on security protection dogs WITH the ability to act friendly and sweet when we're among children and other pets. Are you able to help?.
