I have an HP Officejet Pro 9013 printer. On 1-2-2025 HP did a firmware update. At the time 3 of my 4 HP cartridges were empty. I purchased 4 generic cartridges from Cartridge Zone but only installed 3 of the generics. I then found a set by step video on the web on how to disable any further firmware updates by HP. My problem is that because I still had an original Mangenta HP cartridge in the printer at the time of disabling updates and installing the generics, now that its time to install the Magenta generic, I am unable to disable the block on that particular cartridge. I've repeated the Restore Factory Settings and the Do Not Check for updates, but I am still getting the non-HP blocked message. In another tutorial on the web, it states that I would have to downgrade the 9010 firmware upgrade to a date before 1-2-2025. I think I may have one on One Drive but this is where I need some technical assistance as I'm worried I am copy and paste what I think is the old firmware file and really mess the whole printer up. I need to know if you can assist via Any Desk or in person if necessary and what your charge would be. I can't use the printer as t is presently. I am retired and can no longer afford to pay the ridiculous R1000+ price per cartridge that HP are selling them at. Please contact me on email if you can assist. Kind Regards Gayle Shaw.
