Computer Repair Job - Morningside, KZN, 4001

My Acer laptop died. It just went blank some day, I would like to know if it can be fixed, and if not, can the information on its storage be recovered? It does charge, but the screen does not light up, although the fan goes on. And I want to know will it be more cost effective to repair or replace, so please send quotation or price estimates.
