Frequently Asked Questions

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

We offer reliable, quality, honest and guaranteed service. All repairs needed will be sent to the client with a sequence of photographs via Whatsapp to verify and approve. We treat every client with personal care and you can have direct contact with the responsible person.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Qualified BMW technician with over 35 years experience working on cars including all makes for the past 21 years. Have a staff compliment of 9 with 5 qualified Mechanics and a Auto Electrician.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

We do ALL Mechanical and Electrical Repairs, including complete Engine Overhauls.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We have set fees for servicing of different vehicles, including Oil Services, Minor and Major Services. On vehicles where CBS (Condition Based Servicing) is used then it will be as required. Once the vehicles arrive for a Service it will be thoroughly examined via a 25 point checklist and if there are any other items required over and above, the client will be quoted before the repairs are carried out. We calculate our labor costs using a Flat Rate Manual to ensure you are not overcharged.

What makes your pricing competitive?

We have been operating for many years in a very price conscious area so in order to be competitive our prices have been adjusted accordingly. With many years of experience in the Trade we have been able to procure products at a competitive price without sacrificing quality.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Uptasker customers?

All Uptasker customers will be offered a "Mini Valet" with every Service.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. If the client can correctly identify the problem prior to us doing the work it will save them some money 2. If possible read the owners manual to familiarize yourself with the Scheduled Maintenance Guide. This tells you when maintenance is suggested by the manufacturer. If you pay attention and read a little, you’ll learn how and when to best spend your your money. 3. Some minor repairs you can do yourself to save, such as changing wiper blades.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

1. Make, model, year or preferably the Vin number of the vehicle. 2. For certain repairs we need to inspect the vehicle in order to provide a quote.

Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

We are an insured business and have been operating for 15 years. We offer a 6 month guarantee or as per suppliers warranty which sometimes can be 1 year.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Its important for the client to obtain a background of the repairer in order to see if they are qualified to do the work. References would be ideal and if repairer is listed on Google then to see what kind of reviews repairer has had.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

We have been operating since 2005 with over 35 years experience in the Motor Trade. We pride ourselves in our honesty and our company motto is "Service You Can Trust". We tell it like it is without "upselling" unnecessary repairs. Our clientele is mostly return customers and we have never advertised as our advertising has been through word of mouth.
