RECON THATCHERS was founded in 1983 by the present owner, Bertus Nieuwenhuis and originally started by focussing on Swimming Pools. After the completion of a 17m x 7m pool with and island and a thatch umbrella, the demand for similar umbrella thatches grew and later included other thatched roof projects. Today, RECON THATCHERS is a well-known company and a leader in thatching.
