Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Choosing the right trainer, is as important as choosing the right school for your children. I openly ask clients to review (and have outstanding ratings on my various sites.) I strive to achieve success for the dogs and the owners. A happy well balanced dog = happy home.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have been training dogs since I was a teenager. Happily methods have changed as science reveals the advantages of using reward based training. This now forms 100% of the techniques I teach to new puppy parents. Reviews on public platforms show prospective clients the service levels of your business. I am super proud of all the ratings I have achieved - by hands on helping pet owners to change lives through positive training.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialise in puppy training, laying a solid foundation is the secret to sucess of helping owners to raise, well adjusted dogs in their homes. By euqipping owners properly - the dog benefit from having good leadership and have lots of fun following and learning.

How do you normally charge for your service?

There are a few options. Puppy Group Classes are cost effective. For puppies older thatn 6 months I offer one on one private training, in home (depending on the distance from me) or at my secure grounds in Morningside at a fraction of the price of home training. To be really cost effective I also offer the option on person to person on-line video training.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Its not always about price, but what you (and who) you get for your money. Cheap costs = cheap service = broken dogs. I am not saying I am expensive, but I am say clients need to be wise about who they choose.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Please ensure you give me the age, breed/rescue, sex - Spayed or Neutered - How long dog is in your family - Main details of concerning behaviours.

Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

This does not apply to the dog training industry. Outcomes depend on the dog, history and client compliance.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

How long have your been working with dogs? What training methods do you use? (avoid any harsh treatment - dogs are smart and will give back the way they are handled - violence begets violence) Do you have open review platforms? Can I come and watch a class before enrolling?

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
