Hairdressing is in my blood! I come from a long lineage of stylists and was first inspired by my great uncle, Costa and his beautiful array of salons in Bloemfontein in the Free State, called Maison Costa. And then by my very talented aunt Wendy, who owned a busy salon based in JHB.
I started working in her salon in my teens, assisting with basic salon duties and reception.
It is here that I was able to witness the art of service and how hairstylists have the ability to transform, not only on a physical level but on a deeper level too. This inspired me to want to create and to do the same with whatever ventures I decided to embark on.
I have been blessed to have worked in many different scenarios throughout my life and believe that I have taken these ‘pearls of wisdom’ from all of those experiences and infused these into my own salon Hello Hair…
