Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

We recruit extensively and interview on an ongoing basis. We do not recommend anyone to you who we have not interviewed, verified and feel confident is a good match for your needs. We do exhaustive interviews with each candidate. We check and recheck information to ensure it is correct when we present this to you. We are deeply aware that we are placing candidates into private homes with young children. Your child's safety is our motivation to be thorough and to ensure that the candidates we recommend are truthful, honest and have been thoroughly checked. More than half the candidate we interview are regretted for being dishonest and having false information on their CVs (we interview less than 5% of the applications we receive - so there is a lot of filtering happening). Finding someone to work in your home, to care for your child, is probably one of the most stressful recruitment decisions you are ever going to make. It differs from any other person you will ever hire. This is such an intensely personal process and will impact on you, your family and your work life. Everything we do is designed to ASSIST YOU in finding the best Nanny and to make this process as easy and streamlined as possible. We do not take our responsibility lightly. We know the weight of this decision and we do everything possible to check, check and check again to find you the right person for your home. And your child.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Years of experience in this industry combined with an extensive data base makes us knowledgeable and well respected in this industry. We offer you guidance, knowledge, insight and we walk this road with you from your first call to us and to long after the Nanny has started with you. This is not a job - this is what we do!! And we pride ourselves on doing it well!! There are Nannies and then there are Happy Helpers' Nannies and Housekeepers. Trust us, to find the right person for you and your family. From the first call to the placement and all follow will be managed by the owner of Happy Helpers and no one else.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

We focus our attention on nannies who have worked in private homes, ideally in Cape Town with newborn, or infants and have 4 - 8 years experience, that can be traced and verified.

How do you normally charge for your service?

12% of gross annual income - the placement fee is only invoiced when the person starts with you. We guarantee our placements for three months from start date and should anything occur that requires us to find a new person for you - there is no charge for the repeat of the recruitment process.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Yes - we have not increased our prices in more than 5 years. We review hundreds of CVs, we shortlist and interview only the best to present to you. On average our candidate interviews are about three hours - we provide you with a detailed CV and have done out utmost to check all details. Our years in this field mean we have access to various resources to check and confirm paperwork, certificates and other information that would not always be accessible to an employer.

Our terms and conditions are supplied at the outset so you are sure of what the service is we will provide for you.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Due to the personal nature of finding a nanny for your home, chatting to the mom or the dad personally will usually give us a clear idea of what you are looking for, and what your needs are. We will walk you carefully through the process and ensure we move at the pace you need to meet the time line that works for the family we are working with.

Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

We offer a three month guarantee period and will repeat the recruitment process within the first three months if the client is not happy with the candidate, and the placement is not working out as planned and hoped.
