Frequently Asked Questions

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

You can't fake experience.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Qualified Electrician by trade; Involved in the building trade for more than 20 years. Involved in solar design and installations since 2013.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Electrical efficiency and control

How do you normally charge for your service?

We have the primary system as a starting point in various Kw ranges, but no one system fits all. It is also site dependent and based on stock availability. It's not "One System Fits All" or DIY, as the general belief.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Cost is second to quality and backup service. We have certain guarantees in place and stick to specific product ranges to maintain these. Solar is an investment with a 20 to 30-year lifespan. You do not aim for the cheapest.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

The lower you can take down your monthly consumption, the better. We as humans never concern ourselves with saving energy, which is a mindset change. 3 Basic things 1. Change your HOB to gas, as it uses the same amount of power as 2 to 3 electrical geysers. 2. change all lights to LED lights. 3. Changes your geyser to a solar or gas geyser. This could already save your consumption by around 60% depending on the size and make of the equipment.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

1. Address to determine capacity and any shade issues. 2. Approximate annual consumption (12 months). 3. A site visit before the final quote there are a few factors which are site-specific that can affect the cost.
