Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Because I do the work my self. I do not hand my work over to a less qualified assistant.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I am not only a qualified electrician with a wirmans license and 16 years experience. I am also a qualified instrumentation technician with an advanced diploma in electrical engineering.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialize in industrial automation with PLC's and Instrumentation. But I'm happy to carry the vast amount of knowledge I have to any industry. From domestic, Agriculture or mining through to Industrial application.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I work on a per case basis. I have different rates depending who I work for. For example; I charge pensioners R350 per hour and for Large Industrial company's up to double that.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I am in this industry a long time and I think I have found a good balance between my need to survive and my clients need to save money.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Do some planning. Make sure you know exactly what you want. (Having to redo work is very expensive) Try and do some prep work. Digging a trench takes time. Paying an electrician 600 per hour is expensive. Rather get a general worker to dig the trenches at R30 an hour. Have materials on site. Electricians have to put a murk up on materials you could buy for less yourself.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Location and duration.

Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

I guarantee my work for 6 months.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Ask to see there qualifications. There are so many people in this industry who think they can provide a save service without the right qualifications. This just results in people getting hurt,

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I understand that I am only as good as my last job and one bad review could destroy my livelihood. This makes me think twice about whether a shortcut is relay worth it. And it never is!!
