Aurora Architectural Designs is a young Durban based architectural practice focused on a modern design from architecture to interiors. Our intention is delivering exceptional services to the public and private clients. From large to small projects we offer a professional services focused on quality, creativity and exclusive designs. Exploring new boundaries and working closely with client, engineers, builders and supplier we will provide unique and professional solutions, all of this will be based on a solid foundation of design excellence, budget management, program control and site supervision. What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Yanelsi Aurora Fonseca Nunez is an Architect from Cuba. She is a mom and wife but her passion has always been Architecture and Interior Design. She studied Architecture at the University of Oriente, Santiago the Cuba from 1996 until 2001. During her internship and working as design specialist and team leader, she participated in several international and national Architecture Events and achieved an Environment and Housing Design Postgraduate. She came to S.A. in 2007 and worked for 3 years for the Department of Housing in KZN, on contract as Advisors to Human settlement projects. In 2011 she moved permanently to South Africa and worked for almost 7 years in a very prestigious firm in Durban, becoming one of the Senior Technical Managers of the company. The jewels in her extensive portfolio include several Luxury House projects from Design to Execution at Zimbali, Simbithi, Izinga and The Executive among others. Her portfolio ranges also include mix used projects, commercial and student resident’s projects. Yanelsi also completed a Project Management certificate from Varsity College. Taking her passion to another level in 2019 she gave life to “Aurora Architectural Designs”. Her designs are functional and contemporary always responding to the client’s needs. Yanelsi is registered as Senior Professional Architectural Technologist with SACAP and she is a member of SAIAT.

We will cover all type of architectural projects. Our services are: .Partial architectural services. From Stage 1 Inception to Stage 4.1 Documentation and procurement. Submit documents to the local authorities for approval. .Other Partial Services specified by the client. .Full Architectural Services. From Stage 1 Inception to Stage 6. Close out of the projects. .Other special services: Research, feasibility study, 3D models, among other. . Interior design.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Our fee will be based on the SACAP TARIFF OF FEES GUIDLINE. We are flexible and we can negotiate until the two parts are agreed.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

- We need to know the the type of project, the address , and areas. The owner must have a Tittle Deed

Yes. We are an insured business.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

Our work is transparent. We will give to a client a breakdown of the work stages with cost. Payment will be done only after finish every stage and approved by the client.
